Pet Peeve

So, just recently I have experienced the absolute number one thing that totally pisses me off in my life. I work at the Outback Steakhouse in Greenwood, and have quiet a bit of friends that work there. It helps that the section in which I work (Togo) everyone is either my age or a year ahead or below of myself. With this being said pretty much all of us get along and have fun talking and sometimes hanging out outside of work. But, just recently this kid started working with us, and one of the chicks I talk to that works there will be having a normal funny conversation with me but as soon as this kid walks up, she will turn away and totally ignore me and the original conversation. I do not know why but this just has pissed me off, every time it has happened since this kid starting working there. She, does it because she feels he is good looking. This just really grinds my gears, and has really been on my mind a lot this past week. It happens all the time, and she knows it pisses me off that she does it, but she never recognizes till after that she did it, and then apologizes for so abruptly leaving the conversation.

Welcome To My Life

Welcome to my life, I am Jordan Dean a 19 year old college student at Ivy Tech Community College. This blog was made by myself for my "Creative Writing" class.  My main objective for the blog is to follow the title of it: "A Day in Jordan's Life." I just want to at least once a week blog about a certain day in the week or maybe just the highlight's of my past week or just the things that I remember.

For now I just want to give you as the reader a little more insight into my life, from my childhood dreams, and growing up, as to where I am now.

Well to start I born on December 9th 1996, to the Dean household of at the time 3 family members: My father Kenny, my mother Lori, and my sister Courtney. I was born very premature and spent most my time in the hospital till December 24th when I was allowed to be sent home. Talk about on HELL of a Christmas gift for the family. Later on in January of 1998 by first brother was born named Caleb. Than to follow multiple years later in 2004 the last child was born my little little brother Hunter.

I grew up in a Baptist church and most of my younger years was spent in a Baptist school as well. I went to a little school "Suburban Christian School" till 5th grade, and that is when I switched to a Center Grove Community school for the 5th grade year. After, 5th grade I switched back to the Christian School for grades 6-7th. Then finally, I switched back to Center Grove school to finish my schooling between 8th grade all the way to my senior year.

The final thing I feel you really need to know about myself, to really know me, is that I have a huge love for sports. Sports has really seemed to always be there for me throughout my years, something i love to both watch and play. My sports careers had a lot upsides and than a hard down fall as I progressed and ultimately aged. It started off in seventh grade while I was still attending the Christian school. I played basketball that year of my life, and basketball is also arguably my favorite sport, just barely ahead of football. This year for my seventh grade team I took home the MVP trophy on the season. Not a huge accomplishment the team was terrible, but I did have good averages on basically all of my stats. My biggest accomplishment was hitting a buzzer beating three point shot to win the game. Now, fast forward to my high school days I dropped the sneakers, and picked up the cleats. I had never played football before, and for Center Grove it was one of the hardest things I have mentally and physically had to stay up with. I lost 60lbs going into my freshman year from all the conditioning, but something that needed to have happened. I started gaining more and more playing time, until finally my junior year I sprained my MCL in practice right to the point of tearing. I sat out only 2 practices, when you need around half a year of recovery time. Due, to this fact my knee never really fully healed and took it's toll on my senior year, and just how much I could honestly 100% preform. That is how my legit career went with 4 straight semi-state losses in football. I now spend my time playing pick up basketball games, close to everyday at a local gym. Than play as much football as I can, with my knee feeling fully good to go now that it's not under daily football stress. Although, these football games are harder to come into contact with and playing all the time.

Also, in terms of professional and collegiate sports, I follow basketball and football very passionately. In the NBA I am a big fan of the Cavaliers, and love watching Stephen Curry do his thing on the court, as well as Lebron James, and Blake Griffin. In terms of collegiate basketball I follow the hometown Indiana Hoosiers, but also keep a look out on the North Carolina Tar Heels. Than finally for the NFL, I used to be a Indianapolis Colts fan, but have quit that since the departure of Peyton Manning, and will be all things #BroncoCountry for the long-term future. College football love the Oregon Ducks, and their fast pace those players out west play at.

My dream is to ultimately leave Ivy Tech college at the first chance, and transfer to IUPUI to further my education into becoming an Physical Education teacher, as well as either or both a basketball or football coach. My dream is to coach to where a young athlete will become a State Champion. I want to see the daily grind in young athletes that I saw in myself, and do everything I possibly can to get all of them to reach their potential and fulfill their dreams, while I have them as my players. Something I know I will never be able to take advantage of.

That is me and everything I think you should know about myself. Hope you find these blogs interesting and Hilarious, as you get a chance to see my life and my stupid that follows me. If any questions feel free to email me anytime, I'll make sure to get back to them.
